Victoria Falls is one of the natural wonders of the world, forming an incredible spectacle as the mighty Zambesi River tumbles into the Batoka Gorge. The Falls are also known as ‘the smoke that thunders’ because of the huge clouds of spray – often decorated with rainbows – that form above it, and the roar of all that cascading water.

Situated on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, Victoria Falls offers different experiences at different times of the year – all linked to how great the volume of water is. The town of Victoria Falls is Africa’s adrenaline sports capital, and offers excellent bungee jumping and white-water rafting opportunities, as well as scenic flights above the Falls in helicopters and microlights.

The nearby Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park lets you get your safari fix, or you can play a round of golf with warthogs on the greens. Cultural experiences include evenings of traditional food, music and dance to the rhythms of Africa.
